Where are 00 Wines produced?
00 Wines crafts new American Chardonnay. The company is based in Carlton, Oregon, USA in the Northern Willamette Valley region. Each wine is made in limited quantities using Burgundian techniques that highlight purity, texture, and terroir.
00 Wines also produces a small number of Pinot Noir bottles each vintage.
Willamette Valley wines are produced at The Carlton Winemaker’s Studio in Carlton, Oregon.
In 2022, 00 wines launched the Burgundy Idea Lab, a small project to test and experiment with new winemaking ideas with some of the mose expressive terroir on earth.

In 2016, 00 Wines began a collaboration with Champagne Paul Launois to produce barrel-aged Blanc de Blancs vintage and non-vintage Champagnes.

00 Wines is a private house and not open to the public for tastings. We invite collectors to create an account for future opportunities to experience the wines through private events and curated releases called “drops”.
How can I purchase 00 Wines?
Our wines are available to our private clients. We send text message alerts throughout the year to announce wine releases that we call “drops”, available for a limited time only. To receive access to the wines, please create an account. Drops are offered periodically to members based on availability, release schedule, and regional production.
What does “00” stand for?
The name “Double Zero” symbolizes precision, balance, and renewal — the endless pursuit of purity in winemaking. It reflects the circular nature of vintage cycles and the refinement at the heart of the house’s philosophy.

Yes. 00 Wines are made in extremely limited quantities, designed to age gracefully over decades. Recent vintages have received 97–100-point scores from leading critics, affirming their longevity and collector appeal.
What is the ‘Black Chardonnay’ method?
The Black Chardonnay method is a historic Burgundian practice revived by 00 Wines. The grape must is intentionally oxidized early in fermentation to enhance structure, phenolic depth, and longevity, resulting in a Chardonnay of remarkable texture and purity.
Who are the winemakers behind 00 Wines?
00 Wines winemaking is overseen by Chris and Kathryn Hermann, who work with a select team of artisans and collaborators including winemaker Maxence Lecat in all 3 regions, consulting winemaker Felipe Ramirez in Willamette Valley, and Julien Launois in Champagne. Together, they unite classical technical precision with the vision of Chris Hermann.
How many cases are produced each year?
Production is extremely limited, averaging around 60,000 bottles annually across all three regions. Every wine is made in micro-lots to ensure exceptional quality and authenticity of place.

We currently offer allocation access to select markets in the United States, the United Kingdom, Asia, and Australia, in partnership with fine-wine distributors. Availability may vary by region and regulation.
