"This is a blend of parcels, fermented as hand-snipped, single berries in 500-liter amphorae. The intrinsically fragrant and gently tarry red cherries deliver a complex, youthful impression with assertively spicy oak. The palate has a wildly detailed, fresh and juicy array of rich, dark cherries and berries with such long and succulent, fine tannins. Really exceptional expression of Willamette pinot. Drink across the next decade."

The 2017 VGR Pinot Noir is a blend of two legendary Willamette Valley vineyards (Shea and Hyland). Made with single vineyard 500L Tuscan clay amphorae fermentiations, the VGR is blended a few months before bottling.
Multilayered and silky, the VGR blend is a symphony of tones including a fragrant Italian plum nose imparted from the Shea Pinot Noir fruit, and a fine-grained, creamy caramel base note imparted from the Pinot Noir fruit grown in the volcanic jory soil of Hyland.
