Dr. Richard Hermann was a world-renowned plant geneticist specializing in the Douglas Fir tree. Thanks to his blessing, 00 Wines was founded in 2015, when Dr. Hermann was 91 years old.

Produced from Block 1D planted in 1972 in bright red volcanic soil of the the Hyland vineyard in the McMinnville AVA, our 2017 Hyland single vineyard Pinot Noir is savory with hints of roast duck and hoison sauce with a pretty, delicate nose.
"This is a blend of parcels, fermented as hand-snipped, single berries in 500-liter amphorae. The intrinsically fragrant and gently tarry red cherries deliver a complex, youthful impression with assertively spicy oak. The palate has a wildly detailed, fresh and juicy array of rich, dark cherries and berries with such long and succulent, fine tannins. Really exceptional expression of Willamette pinot.
